Paris, 29 November 2004 - RIPS, a Nexans company, announces its presence to the Pollutec 2004 exhibition which takes place from November 30 to December 3 in Lyon (France) Eurexpo, Hall 10 (booth 646).

With a grinding capacity of 20,000 tons p.a., and over 30 years of experience, RIPS, in compliance with its operating license, is able to recycle under the best current economic and technical conditions such cable waste as manufacturing offcuts or discarded cables, made of non-ferrous metals, whether armored or unarmored, tarred or untarred, as well as plastic extrusion drains, and strips, wires and cables made of bare non-ferrous metals.
As it is paramount, RIPS ensures the accountability and compliance of waste treatment for its customers according to the complex european waste regulations. For each waste, RIPS files a preliminary authorization application so as to ensure full transparency before, during and after the recycling process.

Pollutec 2004 will attract a total of 2,400 exhibitors including 30% from abroad and will occupy 90,000 m². It will be this year's largest global show case for solutions to the problems encountered by industry and local authorities in all fields of the environment: water waste/recycling, air, energy, decontamination of polluted sites and soils, risk prevention and management, coastal development and protection, analysis/measurement/monitoring, cleaning Over 63,000 visitors are expected from industry or local authorities.
