Nexans high voltage joints are available for synthetic insulated (XLPE) cables with aluminum or copper conductors up to 2500 mm2 and basically composed of a pre-moulded slip-on elastomeric joint body and an outer casing.
The outer casing consisting of a thick copper tube and a strong high density polyethylene covering is one of the highlights of the Nexans HV joint concept.
The Heavy Duty Outer Protection (HOP) offers an excellent mechanical protection, a reliable electrical behaviour and a perfect tightness.
The longitudinal insulation and the connection of the coaxial or single core cable are factory made and facilitating in a decisive manner the assembly of the joint and the cross-bonding and earth connections on site.
Outer protection casings in light version (MOP, LOP) as well as devices for partial discharge measurement and DTS are available on demand.
