Application

The optical frames constitute the metal base of medium and high-capacity main distribution frames.

They accommodate all the components needed to provide and manage the connections of jumpers between the lines cables and the equipment.

They can be used :

• to secure and terminate cables;
• to secure cable heads;
• to route jumpers and store excess lengths.

  Design

  The optical frames is built by assembling two aluminium bars to which the following components are attached :

• jumpering rings;
• fixing screws for cable heads with a pitch of 255mm.

  There are 6 frame models from 5 to 10 levels (height : 255mm). The capacity of each level can reach 36 fibers. The floor clearance of each frame is about 700mm.

  In order to build up the main distribution frame, each frame comes with a kit of parts with which the frames can be assembled at a pitch of 400 mm and subsequently be bolted to the floor.

  A set of accessories to be mounted after assembly is also supplied.

  Special notes :

• Use front/rear protective strips Art No. 09317 and side strips Art No. 09318 to protect the main distribution frame.
• A work shelf Art No. 09316 provides ready access to all levels in the main distribution frame.
• When ordering an optical frame, a 10 ring kit must be provided.
