With the aim of meet needs for low capacity in a logic of individual circuit management, Nexans Composants Telecom proposes this optical head cable, in the context of high rate connections.

To faciliate the exploitation, the TDCO12C can be pre-equipped with connectorized pigtails. It integrates a splicing function with two mini cassettes including one dedicated to a straight mid-span function, fibers patching and coiling functions and also it can support several standard of connectors. A buildup of those cable heads allows progressing fitting capacity (24, 36, 48). The circuit is entirely protected in a specific cassette from the pigtail to the jumper (1,1 mm max. diameter pigtails).

The overlength coiling capacity is of 2 x 4m for a cable of 2,8mm diameter.

The TDCO12C can also be exploited just for cross-connexion applications or by using the coiling cassettes for a spliced long pigtails standby function dedicated to a direct connexion with telecom equipments.

Description :

The TDCO12C consists of :

• a paint metal chassis having fasteners for secondary fanout devices for the arrival of the tubes.
• 6 swivelling cassettes on 90° around an axis, each one being able to contain a circuit,
• 2 splicing cassettes,
• a drum ensuring the routing and fixing of the jumpers, by respecting the minimum radius of curvature,
• a swivelling splicing cassettes support to make easy the access to the splicing zone,
• a painted protection cover being encased on the chassis and an individual cover for each cassette.

  The TDCO12C is fixed on the main optical distribution frames.
